Thank you, Dad

I got a phone call from my Dad yesterday. He called to say that he had been speaking with a business associate who he found out has suffered a full term infant loss as well. He said that they were talking about the Holidays, family, etc. and Nicholas' name came up....

I hold my breath, blink back the tears, try to clear away the lump in my throat...

Nicholas' name came up. Wow. Truly amazing.

I can't even begin to describe the feelings of pride and pure joy it brings me, as Nicholas' mommy, to know that others think about him, talk about him and readily include him as a part of our family.

Thank you, Daddy. I know how precious the time you spent with Nicholas is to you.

As K would say, it makes my "heart happy" to know that he is a part of your thoughts every day.

That does feel good. Makes me miss my daddy, too. Sometimes. I google Ella's name. She actually comes up more times than my own name. She was real.

I am very happy for you (and a touch envious! ;) that your dad sees the importance in remembering and talking about Nicholas. I can't seem to find that same understanding in my own family, and it cuts like a knife. Your dad sounds like a really awesome person who truly 'gets it!'

That is so beautiful. He is your son and he should be talked about.

Beautiful, I love how others remember and talk about Nicholas. Especially your family. I wish those in my life did the same for my baby boys. xo

Oh that is so beautiful, your dad sounds very proud of all his grandkids. Recently a friend of a friend made a surprising mention of my daughter Rose, and I was so touched and grateful for it. Its amazing to know that people remember, that people miss our babies, isn't it?

Lovely. Sad to know about another bereaved family, but happy to know Nicholas was remembered openly. xo

It warms the heart and fills the soul to know they are not forgotten. We just need to hear it don't we. And, how sweet and thoughtful of your father to acknowledge Nicholas precious life :)

Many hugs as we continue to remember Nicholas.

Awesome Lea :) I am so grateful my Mom remembers the "6th" of every month with me, and usually brings me something with butterflies on it. Its nice to have some people IRL remember. Hugs, Nan xo

Love it Lea. Thank God for our own Daddies huh? My dad is really in tune with me over this, surprisingly more so than my mom at times.

That is lovely, Lea. It's great when others acknowledge our babies, too. I was talking about my new pregnancy at work one day and one of my work colleagues mentioned about my pregnancy with Bailey, and she actually said "Bailey". I nearly melted on the spot that someone other than my direct family remembered the name of my son.

Definately it is a wonderful feeling when someone besides ourselves bring up our special babies.
