Dear Nicholas,
We need you, buddy.
Some friends of ours had a beautiful baby boy today. He has two older sisters and a mommy and daddy that love him so much. The doctors are fairly certain that he has downs syndrome and are currently running a battery of tests to determine the intensity.
Nicholas, my sweet boy, I know you have some pull up there. This little boy is deeply loved and has a family and friends who will support them no matter what, but, please say a prayer for him. Please let the doctors be wrong...

Praying with you, Lea, that the doctors are wrong about this sweet baby. I pray for peace for the family if the diagnosis is correct, and wonderful care for him from the medical staff. I can't imagine what they are going through right now.

I hope if he does have DS that he is otherwise healthy. Heart and other organ anomalies are often found in those with Downs. I know what a shock it must be to his family, but if he is healthy (even with Downs,) that is all that matters. It sounds like he has an amazing family and will be loved regardless of his number of chromosomes!
